Kevin Murphy Invasion

I have just finally joined the band wagon and loving it!!  I had seen KM around for the last 2 years or so and liked the idea of the packaging, company mission etc.  but had not really played around with any of the products.  I came from the Aveda roots where you basically use no other THAN Aveda LOL.  Davines was my next love to follow and still is however KM captures some amazing products that work so well for me and compliment my style of hairdressing.  Heres a some of the stuff I'm absolutely loving after having the goods for just over a week now(in no particular order)

1.   BORN.AGAIN MASQUE
I've been using this on the most stressed tresses and it truly is a miracle worker.  It says it works instantly on a cellular level with the molecules so small they penetrate right into the cortex(innermost layer of hair) and work from the inside out...I believe it!  I use the treatment at the sink and if there is extra time I like to throw it under heat for 5-10.  There are also moisture, shine, repair and volume treatments this can be used in conjunction with.  Say good bye to cotton fluff hair.

2.  POWDER.PUFF
Pretty much an addictive drug in a cute little pink bottle.  It's a volumizing powder so typically it is great for fine hair.  I love to use this powder on all hair types.  Fine hair people need the thickness and volume it builds...although people with thick hair aren't necessarily lacking volume there hair is so weighed down naturally that the powder puff really helps to bring life to it.

3.  HAIR.RESORT
This is KM's twist on sun, salt and sand....scrunch into wavy or curly hair for 30-60 seconds and the quick drying agent(sun) help to give you sexy tousled beach hair with pretty much NO work!  Something that requires no salon skill for an excellent result.

4.  FRESH.HAIR
This is an aerosol spray that breaks up excess product buildup, natural oils and removes smells.  Whether you wake up late or you really don't want to wake up early enough to wash and style your hair this comes in extremely handy.  I like to spray it onto my hair with pulsating motions then work through with my fingers, KM texture comb or a big paddle brush.  It's also great again for fine hair as it builds the hair shaft and leaves a nice powdery residue.  This guy also comes in a purse friendly size so it can come in extremely handy for traveling or those nights when you stay out dancing till the sun comes up LOL.

5.  SESSION.SPRAY
My long term ranking #1 hairspray was the NO 7 crystal fixative lacquer for Wizards by Davines.  KM session spray has just bumped that one down to #2.  I love the firm hold it gives yet virtually weightless as it uses resins for firm flexible control also giving great memory to the hair.  I used this hairspray in the muggy environment of London and my hair looked amazing everyday!   My friend and I both became addicted I had to go on an adventure just to buy more of the hairspray because I didn't want to use anything else!

6.  ANTI.GRAVITY
Last but not lease is this oil free volumizer.  It comes in a nice easy to use cream and doesn't make the hair greasy.  It actually builds the hair shaft making any hair appear thicker and fuller while giving just the right amount of hold to achieve the desired end result whether it be curls, round brush or just shagging out the hair.

Kevin Murphy also makes these great jet packs which come with almost all my fave products in airplane friendly sizes as well as the bag to go with it.  They come with a mini session spray, fresh hair, hydrate me wash, hydrate me rinse and anti gravity.  They retail for 42$CAN

Again these are just my top pics after a week.  I'm loving them all but haven't had my hands in all of the line just yet ....great tutorials are also available online @ www.kevinmurphy.com.au
